About Doctoral Training Centres and support available for Directors and Administrators. The University of Edinburgh hosts a large number of Doctoral Training Centres. These include Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT), Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP) and Four Year PhD Programmes. These are funded by the UKRI Research Councils, charities, trusts and other bodies. These programmes strongly promote interdisciplinary study and collaboration with other universities and industrial partners, combining PhD study with taught courses, industrial placements and other training opportunities. For reference, you can find links to these programmes on the following pages. These have been organised by College.
